welcome to the rest of your life. salute to improving your life, your outlook on long term wealth, health and the ability to pursue anything.

the rest is merely the numbers. Ironman is the first step towards sharing that indeed, anything is possible. we are ambassadors to the world to show that anyone can do anything, if they just take that first step.

salute!

Thanks Chris - for capturing the First Time Ironman thrill as eloquently as you have. It fills me with nostalgia for my virgin outing - you know you only have one chance to do your first one, and you have truely sucked the marrow out of it - WELL DONE IRONMAN!
Its been a total honour training with an "Old Bullet" like you!

Well done Chris!!!

Can't agree with you more about the "awesomeness" of this event.

It was my first Ironman and would definately want to go back next year ...

Awesome. What an amazing journey. The story brings a tear to my eye, now HTFU and stop this soppy sh1t. Seriously, it takes a lot of commitment to do what you did, and I am sure there were many occassions over the past year where you considered tossing in the towel just purely due to the time commitment required to complete this event relatively pain free. And lets not forget about Maple who has cheered you on every step of the way, and whithout her support and drive you would not have completed this challenge. Excellent team effort.
What now, “The Freedom Challenge”?:
EXTREME TRIATHLON
DURBAN TO VELDRIF, outside Cape Town
12 June - 5 July
RUN the 100 km Duzi Trail Run from Durban to PMB on 12 June.
MOUNTAIN BIKE the Freedom Challenge Trail Race starting in Pietermaritzburg the next morning and arrive in Paarl in time to
PADDLE the 2 day 240 km 1-stop Berg River Canoe Marathon from 3 to 4 July.
Should be a piece of cake for an “Ironman”…….

We're not worthy of such damn fine words, but accept them with grateful thanks.

Good luck for to-morrow I am rooting for you.

If you peek quickly at the front page of MyPE you will see my grateful thanks for your astute observations and kind words expressed publicly.

How do you know when someone attended Grey?
They ALSO tell you.
